• The willingness to give up all hope for a better past.
• A state of mind relating to a past injurious conduct rooted in the recognition of the shared human capacity for wrongdoing under the influence of suffering (i.e., “There but for the grace of God go I”).

FORCE

FEELINGS

An information system used by the brain, composed of two types of non-verbal signals: sensations (which originate peripherally, i.e., in the body) and emotions (which originate centrally, i.e., in the brain).

FEAR

A mental pain that results from the perception of an actual threat.

The doubtless conviction that one’s perception of Reality is supremely valid and non-negotiably superior to all other perceptions.

FAITH

• The source of explanation and meaning for phenomena that are otherwise inexplicable.
• The conviction that a promise will be kept even though it was never made.

• Resource-based: The allocation of a resource in proportion to the relative needs for it.
• Contract-based: A state that emerges when all parties to an agreement fulfill their parts in it.
